Festival “Dans les Jardins de William Christie” Concert Les Arts florissants / La Descente d’Orphée aux Enfers

To open the 14th edition of the Festival Dans les Jardins de William Christie, William Christie has chosen a symbol: to share with the public the short opera by Marc-Antoine Charpentier which gave its name to the ensemble... Les Arts florissants. Presented in a double format with another operatic work by the same composer, La Descente d'Orphée aux enfers, this new show will also provide an opportunity to discover the voices of the ten new winners of the Jardin des Voix, the international academy for young singers run by Les Arts Florissants. These talented young artists, selected from all over the world, will be presenting for the very first time the fruit of their work at Thiré, alongside William Christie, Paul Agnew, stage directors Marie Lambert-Le Bihan and Stéphane Facco, and choreographer Martin Chaix, before taking this show to the world's greatest stages.

At the end of the performances on the Miroir d'Eau, spectators are invited to rediscover William Christie's Gardens by strolling through them by candlelight.

Accessible only to holders of a ticket for the evenings on the Miroir d'eau (included in the ticket).
