To mark Heritage Days, come and discover or rediscover this park, bequeathed to the town of Luçon by Hyacinthe Dumaine in 1872. The garden, combining French and Anglo-Chinese styles, is remarkable for its topiary features – intricately pruned plants – evoking La Fontaine’s Fables....

This 4.5-hectare garden is ranked amongst the most beautiful in France.
It features an interplay of French and English-style gardens, a pond, a belvedere, a fountain, woodland, coppice and topiary, as well as a bandstand restored in 2023.
It is filled with remarkable trees, rows of trees, symmetrical features and shrubs, of which around fifty different species have recently been identified by plaques that visitors can discover as they stroll through the grounds.

The tour will begin at the foot of the bust of Hyacinthe DUMAINE, in the garden.
