Guided with explanations and gourmet bike tours in the South Vendée and the Marais Poitevin

"Turned towards slow tourism, the Original Vélo Tour (OVT) concept is to offer guided, explained and gourmet bike rides in the South Vendée and the Marais Poitevin.

Nature, culture and terroir are the 3 main ingredients of the OVT walks. Thus, our services are focused on:
-Ecotourism (the discovery and construction of our territory),
-Cultural and heritage tourism (religious, military and hydraulic),
-Culinary tourism (not to be confused with gastronomic tourism around restaurants) through the visit of our local producers and the tasting of their local products... In this last part, we can also talk to you about "cyclo oenotourism" through our vineyards in the South Vendée and our AOC Fiefs Vendée wine estates.

This is what being an ambassador for the South Vendée and the Marais Poitevin is!

Our excursions are done in small groups, often up to 15 people. This is one of the principles of ecotourism, which makes it possible to limit the impact on the environment and Nature, while promoting the friendliness and comfort of the group in the discovery. Our producers that have other activities to do on the side, in order not to hinder their production, oblige us a minimum of 4 people.

During our bike rides, we prefer our Californian "Beachcruiser" bicycles, which are non-electric and comfortable. The land in the Marais is relatively flat and does not require any superhuman effort!

Since 2018, we have been offering bike-boat trips accompanied by a picnic... to discover the Marais Poitevin DIFFERENTLY. This term was the most used word in 2018 based on feedback.

Our trips are not sporty so that our services are accessible to as many people as possible. Families with children (even small ones) can register for our excursions with the use of our children's mountain bikes and trailers or the use of more adapted rides.

Our eco-guide, through its past experiences in many tourism structures in the Marais Poitevin, will be able to offer you a global approach to the area that you will allow you to discover, through nature, geology, history, culture, fauna, flora...
