Located near Pointe d’Arcay, access the naturist beach via entrance no. 17, through the dunes from Amourettes Beach. Continue another 300 meters past the no. 17 sign toward Pointe d’Arcay (to the left). A sign will indicate that you’ve reached La Faute-sur-Mer’s final beach, where naturism is allowed.
Naturist Beach: An Untouched, Natural World
This wild coastal stretch offers a true sense of isolation, where you can feel the ocean’s power, the gentle breeze, and the peace of a less-frequented beach. It’s an ideal spot to swim and reconnect in tranquility!
PAUL, Naturism Enthusiast
The naturist beach is unsupervised; however, the currents here are gentle. Protected by Île de Ré directly opposite and the bouchot mussel beds, the area enjoys both reduced currents and slightly warmer waters.
Naturism for All Ages
Seasoned visitors know the beach’s entrance is family-friendly, allowing everyone to embrace nudity in comfort.
The naturist community coexists harmoniously here. With the vast stretch of sand, it’s easy to lay out your towel away from walkers, fishers, and textile-clad visitors.
Naturism in nature provides a rare sense of freedom, lifting social codes and suspending time in a respectful, pure state of being. It’s a moment of freedom, feeling nothing but the sun on your skin—a precious, unfettered experience.
Far from the crowds that frequent textile beaches, this space fosters privacy, free from glances or fashion trends—a return to simplicity where everyone is equal, and that’s perfect. SOPHIE V, Devoted Visitor of La Faute-sur-Mer’s Naturist Beach
A Way of Life
For those visiting daily, motorhomes and camper vans can park at the nearby Amourettes area (note: textile-only).
For a full naturist experience, venture inland to the countryside and bocage at Le Colombier Naturist Camping in Saint-Martin-Lars-en-Sainte-Hermine, just an hour’s drive from the beach—a family-friendly campsite ideal for a naturist holiday.
