Description
This cycle path allows you to discover the peninsula of La Faute-sur-Mer: the Lay, the Casse de la belle Henriette, the Pointe d'Arçay and the beautiful fine sandy beaches. Leaving the park, your route will take you along the seawall to the charming fishing and yachting harbour, which seems to have a holiday feel all year round. Here and there you'll be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Lay Estuary and the picturesque oyster-farming huts surrounded by oyster beds, the shallow basins in which the oysters develop their flavour. Remarkable for the richness of its biodiversity, the Rade d'Amour welcomes you to the Pointe d'Arçay, the unlikely fruit of thwarted love affairs, clashing currents and a remarkable geological curiosity. You'll be able to observe the rich flora and fauna characteristic of this lagoon. Between forest and ocean, a mosaic of environments unfolds.
