EGLISE SAINT NICOLAS

Saint Nicolas Church- 1842

Description

In a basilical style, the church stands out compared to other neo-gothical buildings in the 19th century. The nave has demi-roses on top and around the bottom. The windows were done in 1949 by the Vendean Degas. The painted wooden ceiling was replaced by a coffered ceiling, the apse is out of stucco. It was restaured in 2000.
The ex-voto of the "La Victoire" sailboat is in there.
