FONTAINE SAINT-MARTIN
As you stroll towards the pond of Saint Michel en l'Herm, you will discover the most remarkable public fountain in the area, dedicated to Saint Martin and built in 1862 in the 17th century style. Beaches of the South Vendée and Retrocoastal.
Description
At the foot of the Saint-Martin fountain, at the bottom of the hillside, there is a 200m² trough that was used by animals.
This fountain now supplies water in the lake.
It is surmounted by a rectangular plate framed by two scrolls. A cornice follows the round arch of the opening above the central door.
