Description
Chasnais, a Poitevin name derived from "Chanae", the etymological root of which probably comes from "Causs" meaning "oak wood", or more probably from the popular Latin "Cassanus", the source of the French word "chêne". This walk is dotted with oak trees several hundred years old.
