Description
The Marais Poitevin was originally dotted with 28 steep limestone islands rising out of the ocean. These islands were often wooded and can still be seen on the horizon. The route offers sweeping views of hedgerow-lined canals. As you pass through the small villages of the marshes, you’ll cycle at a leisurely pace along the edge of the wet marshes. This route is not suitable for families.
