HIKE “MARMANDE”

From the Lay car park, you will head to the church of St Sauveur, built in the 12th century on a rock overlooking the river.

Then you will pass at the foot of the Calvary, dating from 1865 where you have a magnificent view of the banks of the Lay.
Continue along the banks of the Marillet, tributary of the Lay, continue by joining either the Marillet dam or by cutting through the chestnut woods to reach the Logis de Marmande, dating from the 16th century, passing by the place called Le Moulin Fleury.

You will then arrive at the village of Mareuil by crossing the vineyards before discovering the gardens of the Town Hall and La Coulée Verte, arboretum specially designed for nature lovers, with a picnic area.
