Wednesday 23 September 2026 — Harvesting seeds
Come and explore the gardens to discover their treasures: flower and tree seeds. Learn how to find them, store them and get ready for spring.

Wednesday 28 October 2026 — Trees: bark and leaves
The garden is full of different species: let’s set out to discover them. Learn how to take impressions of them and preserve the leaves so you can recognise them in our local landscape or in your own garden.

Wednesday 25 November 2026 — Herbs
What smells lovely and, what’s more, enhances everyday cooking? Herbs. In the workshop garden, we’ll share a multi-sensory discovery.

Wednesday 23 December 2026 — Christmas wreaths
Upcycling in the garden? How to make little decorations for the home or as gifts, in an eco-friendly spirit and for next to nothing.

Wednesday 20 January 2027 — Seed ribbons and seedlings
Winter is the time to prepare the garden, but spring will be here before you know it: it’s time to get the seedlings ready for a colourful summer.

Wednesday 24 February 2027 — Pruning plants
How can you guide the growth of trees, shrubs and perennials? What should you cut back or keep to create a beautiful harmony in the garden, or even in a pot? It’s never too early to learn how to prune.

Wednesday 24 March 2027 — Sowing the vegetable patch
Eating vegetables: we don’t always fancy them, but eating vegetables we’ve sown and nurtured ourselves? Then yes, please! Come and choose and prepare this season’s future meals.

Wednesday 21 April 2027 — Protecting your garden
Summer will be hot, and spring might be too: come and pick up some ideas for creating shelters for plants – and insects too. Not forgetting ways to protect plants from overly voracious insects.

Wednesday 12 May 2027 — Flower press
Spring offers a wonderful variety of flowers: learn how to make a flower press to preserve them, remember their names, or create frames and decorations.

Wednesday 23 June 2027 — Taking Cuttings
Want to surprise your friends, brothers and sisters, and the whole family? Nothing could be easier: learn how to create new plants from those already in your garden by taking cuttings.
