Description
The Marais Poitevin was originally dotted with 28 steep limestone islands jutting out of the ocean. These islands were often wooded and can still be seen on the horizon. The route offers vast landscapes of canals lined with hedges. Passing through the small villages of the marsh, you'll take a leisurely stroll along the edge of the wet marsh.
