Are you an animal photography enthusiast or simply a nature lover? At Dixmerie Farm, immerse yourself in a unique setting of biodiversity and discover our five specially-designed photo blinds for observing and immortalising the local wildlife.

Nestling in the heart of the natural wet meadows of the Marais Poitevin, Sophie and Hugues' farm is a veritable sanctuary for birds and other wildlife. Guided by the expertise of Hugues, a former nature reserve curator, you'll benefit from expert advice on how to perfect your shots and observations.

Our bird blinds: a close-up experience of nature
- Raptor blind: Sit in a comfortable blind facing a charnel house specially fed to attract buzzards, black kites and other birds of prey. The morning is ideal for catching the perfect light.
- Kestrel hut: On the upper floor of a farm building, watch the falcons from March to July, discreetly through special windows.
- Barn Owl blind: Just 5 metres from an active nesting box, enjoy an exceptional night-time view, with specially adapted equipment for unforgettable shots between June and August.
- Waterfowl blind: Semi-buried on the edge of a body of water, this blind gives you a close-up view of a multitude of birds, from shoveler to white stilt, in remarkable comfort.
- Stork hut: At the height of an active nest, experience a unique moment watching these majestic birds in spring.

At Dixmerie Farm, Hugues combines his love of nature with his expertise in preserving biodiversity. Thanks to special nesting boxes and fittings, the birdhouses blend harmoniously into the landscape, offering an environmentally-friendly experience.

Practical information
- Capacity: 2 to 3 places, depending on the site.
- Equipment required: tripods or special cushions depending on the lookout.
- Access: some blinds require a short walk across the meadows.
To extend your experience, the farm also offers bed and breakfast accommodation and an area for motorhomes, in partnership with France Passion.
