Au Cœur de l’Accordéon
Description
Now based in Luçon, Carine Prud’homme applies her expertise to accordions and free-reed instruments. An accordionist since the age of six, with a degree in musicology and training in instrument making and restoration, she has been practising this precision craft in Charente-Maritime since 2003.
In her workshop, she carries out maintenance, repairs, restoration and tuning of accordions of all makes and styles: chromatic, diatonic and converter accordions.
Each instrument receives a personalised assessment, whether it requires simple maintenance, a complete overhaul or the restoration of an antique instrument steeped in history.
Specialising in work on free-reed instruments, Carine also works on other instruments such as bandoneons, harmoniums, concertinas, accordinas and harmonicas… Her expertise enables her to preserve the sound quality and proper functioning of these often rare or antique instruments.
The workshop also offers accordion hire for students and musicians, ranging from student models to instruments used in conservatoires. A consignment service for second-hand instruments, as well as the sale of new instruments made to order, completes the range of services on offer.
Attentive to the needs of both amateur and professional musicians, Carine Prud’homme supports everyone in their choices, the maintenance and enhancement of their instrument, or simply the idea of taking up the instrument in the future.
Following on from Gémozac, her workshop in Luçon is now a go-to destination for accordion enthusiasts in the Vendée and beyond.
