Journées du Patrimoine, Exposition de peinture à l’aiguille
Description
Have you heard of needle painting?
It's an art of embroidery that requires many hours of work, passion and many shades of colour to create real paintings, figurative or otherwise.
This year, Marika Larnier will be accompanied by her teacher, Jacqueline Jégou from Mortagne sur Sèvre, who was trained by a MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France).
They will be exhibiting their work at the Logis de la Chevallerie in St Gemme la Plaine on Saturday and Sunday for the Heritage Days.
But above all, they'll be on hand to explain their art to visitors and chat with them.
It's a real moment of sharing and discovery that these two artists are offering.
