A painter and visual artist, Françoise Brouillard’s work focuses on the materiality of paint and the active power of colour.

Description

As a painter and visual artist, Françoise Brouillard’s practice centres on the materiality of paint and the active power of colour.
Her artistic journey has its roots in an early passion for art, fuelled by colours and materials.
Mixed media represent a world towards which she gravitates, a space for exploration and freedom.
Through her works, she explores emotions and sensory resonances.
She regards art as an aesthetic and social experience, a hymn to life.
Through her practice in mixed media — acrylic, collage, ink, and textural depth — she creates layered compositions, in which each layer contributes to a dense and masterful visual language. Her brushwork, at once free and structured, establishes a direct relationship with the material, allowing open forms to emerge, hovering between abstraction and sensory resonance.
Colour lies at the heart of my approach. It is not merely a visual element, but an active force that organises space, gives rhythm to the composition and triggers an immediate emotional response.
For the past six years, the Atelier Réorthais, which she founded, has been offering classes and workshops for children, teenagers and adults: making art accessible to everyone is her guiding principle.
