REHEARSAL FOR THE GRAND OPEN-AIR BALL
Public rehearsals to launch the Grand Ball Dancers: Salia Sanou, Lise Fassier, Ousseni Dabare (Esprit)
10.30 am – 12 noon – Esplanade de la Mer: Les Bongos (children from leisure centres)
3.00 pm – 4.30 pm – Skatepark: Djembés and Théorbes groups (aged 18–25 + intergenerational group from age 8)
5.00 pm – 6.30 pm - Place Dudit: Sanzas and Veuzes groups (ages 11–17 and adults)
Sunday 12 July
PORT AREA OPENING CEREMONY
6.00 pm – Opening ceremony and speeches. Food available on site: mussels and chips at Place du Port
THE GRAND BALL
8.30 pm: performance by amateur groups on stage, accompanied by Salia Sanou, Lise Fassier, Ousseni Dabare (Esprit), a DJ and a percussionist.
9 pm–10 pm: public dance – Place du Port
