Experts and enthusiasts of the William Christie Gardens invite you to discover this ‘Remarkable Garden’, listed in the Inventory of Historic Monuments, as part of guided tours specially designed for the Festival. Family Sing-along Workshop

Every day (except Monday 24 August) – 2.45 pm to 3.30 pm
‘In the courtyard, the garden and the tavern – let’s sing!’
Singer Leïla Zlassi, a long-standing member of the Les Arts Florissants choir, invites young and old alike to discover Baroque music through the joy of singing together. Under the theme ‘Let’s sing on the court side, the garden side and the tavern side!’, this year’s programme features two workshops inspired by the Festival’s major concerts performed on the Miroir d’eau. The first, ‘Rameau for the People!’, celebrates this composer’s boundless inventiveness; the second, ‘From the Tavern to the Stage!’, draws participants into the theatrical and joyful world of Henry Purcell. Embark on a family adventure!

A dance-filled discovery

Every day (except Monday 24 August) – 2.45 pm to 3.30 pm
‘The Precious Gardens of the Marquise de Sévigné’
Guided by the dancer Pierre-François Dollé and the musicians of Les Arts Florissants, festival-goers are invited on a musical stroll through the heart of the island gardens, punctuated by introductions to Baroque dance during musical interludes. This year’s programme, themed around ‘The Precious Gardens of the Marquise de Sévigné’, brings together music, dance and prose, offering an immersive experience of the gardens and the refinement of the Grand Siècle.

Concerts in the gardens – Musical strolls

Every day (except Monday 24 August) – 4.00 pm to 6.15 pm
A highlight of William Christie’s ‘Dans les Jardins’ festival, these short concerts offer the chance to explore the various areas of the gardens whilst discovering musical repertoires and pieces performed by the musicians of Les Arts Florissants themselves. This year, the finale of each afternoon will be led by Thomas Dunford, a world-renowned lutenist and iconic musician of Les Arts Florissants. He will present a brand-new programme for a musical experience that will bring these walks to a close.
